To get from one place to another requires action and energy. Crossing a bridge involves the desire to move from one side of the bridge to the other side. It doesn’t matter how much you talk about getting to the other side, or what you are going to do on the other side if you don’t take the necessary steps to arrive there. The bottom line is you move, and sometimes it takes someone to hold you by the hand, a tragedy, or the bottom falling out to get you there. What side of the bridge would you like to cross and currently what side do you see yourself on? For example, marriage is in crisis and the new destination is hoping to arrive with a restored marriage.
Now that you have recognized your starting point, what actionable steps do you need to get to your result? (For example, being kinder to my spouse, getting to work on time, surrounding myself with positive individuals, etc.)

“And the LORD shall help them and deliver them; He shall deliver them from the wicked and save them because they trust in Him (Psalms 37:40).”
Let’s practice unpacking both verses:
What is the starting point? _______________________________ (present need)
What is the destination? _________________________________ (the outcome desired)
How will they get there? __________________________________ (what is needed to be successful)
“But I am poor and needy; yet the LORD thinks upon me. You are my help and my deliverer; do not delay, O my God.” “Give us help from trouble, for the help of man is useless. (Psalms 40:17).”
