Suffering is common to all men, but what isn’t common is the relationship we as believers have with a mighty God! I want to point out steps to reaffirm God’s commitment to us.
Restorative commitment- God will bring about restoration in order to bring back or reinstate the conditions we were once in during past fellowship. God has never gone any where but has always been here with open arms. “Yet I will remember the covenant I made with you in the days of your youth, and I will establish an everlasting covenant with you.” As He made a promise to the Jewish nation through Mosaic Covenant, so the Father promises us an eternal bond through the new covenant of our Lord Jesus. In Hebrews 7:15-28, Christ was put on display for all to see as our high priest, who gave up His life once and for all in order to restore our fellowship with the Father. In essence Christ is greater than your sin and His blood has atoned (taken the place of) in order to put you in right standing with God. Here is what the father says, “But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. 23 Bring the fattened calf and kill it. Let’s have a feast and celebrate. 24 For this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ So they began to celebrate. (Luke 15: 22-24)
